Padlet

Image
Padlet is an application that allows you to create and online board which you can use to show information.  Use a Padlet to collaborate in collecting ideas, brainstorming, and more. Use this tool easily in your Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) classroom since all students will be able to access it for free, no matter what device they have. Padlet does not show which work is attributable to which student, so you may want to require that students initial their contributions in order to get credit. If allowing all students to post to the wall or make comments, you may want to discuss internet safety and etiquette and establish specific class rules and consequences. Making the setting private again will prohibit content from later being replaced by classmate "vandalism."

Virtual Reality

Image
We all familiar with this term. And when this term came into our life created a huge impact. Everyone wanted some VR glasses. But how this VR thing change our life. Firstly it is hell of a fun. Going into some places that you always dream of. For example who doesn't want to be in Hogwarts? Or sit on the Iron Throne? You can even jump from a cliff and survive. As for the educational side, you can teleport (!) your students -I love using teleport word :)- in to places and teach them here. Rather than an ordinary classroom. Which will increase your bonds with your students.

Augmented Reality - uuu

Image
Don't think on the title it is just an 'uuu' or is it? Augmented Reality some of you might just heard this but I assure you, you all know this and use this. What is it? In a short saying, think about VR (virtual reality) as for VR you go in some places right? Some place that is out of the real world. In AR you make your real world virtual. Think about Snapchat and Instagram filters. They put effects on your face or your environment. That is AR. So how can we use it?  As for fun go ahead and use Instagram and Snapchat. However, as for education, we -educators- can use it at primary schools and even in universities. In primary schools using AR will help students to imagine things easily. For example teaching about animals. Use AR and teleport an elephant into your classroom. Kids would love it. And as for universities. Some departments for example which interest in space. Go and teleport some spaceship into your classroom. By doing this the efficiency of the class increase ...

Can't it be hot-french fries? Hot Potatoes

Image
Rather than normal potatoes I like french fries more. However this has nothing to do with our subject. Speaking of which... As you can see from my other posts. I wrote about Kahoot. You can think this platform like Kahoot. This platform allows users to create some quizzes. In education this can also be a good alternative for entertained education. As for disadvantages unfortunately this platform is not that easy to use. For the students, they need to download the files unzip them and only after that they can solve the quiz. Points for Kahoot or Ka-hot? Website!

Ka-hot? No it is Kahoot!

Image
Every educators knows entertainment is a part of the education. At least it is for me. So there are some researches after the first ten minute of the courses students tend to loose their focus. So in order to replenish this focus teacher use some hooks. And at that time kahoot gets into the game. With this app teachers can create pop quiz. But not like old paper work. Students can connect to the class by using their smart phones. Their teacher shares the specific code with them so they can join the class. Here is the Kahoot's website link! Kahoot!

What is that Second Life thing?

Image
In this age of technology almost everything becoming something electronic. What i mean by that is basically, we are now able to do things in virtual platforms that we were doing in the past as real. Now let me introduce the game. Second Life. This game is a sandbox game  which minimal character limitations are placed on the gamer, allowing the gamer to roam and chan ge a virtual world at will. That means players can create their own world without limitations. As an educator this game and this kind of games can be used in games in a good way. For example, player or the teacher, can create a virtual classroom that will draw the attention of the students this way the education will be much more effective. At least I believe that way.
